Description | The DeKalb Weekly News, May 13, 1868, reports that on May 5th a BBC was formed in DeKalb, with H. H. Baldwin and K.C. Skeets elected captains of the 1st and 2nd nines. They played a practice game on the Fair Grounds May 9. Same, May 27th says the club's sponsoring a dance May 29th. The Sycamore True Republican, Sept. 11, 1878 reports that the White Stockings of Sycamore beat the Club of DeKalb 16-13 last Saturday. Gives a box score. DeKalb had a bbc in 1867.
