Description

The Aurora Ball Club played a game  of "base ball" in Sept. 1853 against the Olympic. See games tabulation. They probably played under the MA rules, or variant. They practiced on the Commons in July.

The Boston Herald, Sept. 18, 1854 reports that the "Aurora Ball Club" has 60 members, who exercise on the Commons in the morning with "games of bat and ball."
