Description | The Defiance Democrat, July 27, 1867: "Base Ball. The following is a report of the games played at the Base Ball Tournament given in Defiance, Saturday, July 20th, the following clubs being represented, viz: "Fountain City" of Bryan; "Wauseon," "Napoleon," "Social" of Fort Wayne; and "Auglaize" of Defiance." Query if "Wauseon" and "Napoleon" were teams from the towns of that name, in Ohio, rather than Fort Wayne teams, and that the newspaper had a misprint here. |
