The Buffalo Evening Post, April 4, 1869 mentions the election of officers of the Alert BBC.

The Excelsiors, Alert and Adroit played for the city junior championship in 1869. the Excelsior winning.

The Buffalo Morning Express, May 18, 1866 reports on an election of the Pacific BBC, formerly the Alerts. Unclear if this is the same team.
