Text | The Rochester Union and Advertiser, Oct. 3, 1864 reports that the 140th NY Infantry lost to Battery L 19-12, in a game played on the Weldon Railroad. The Weldon Railroad stretched south from Petersburg. The Union army encampments were a few miles south of the city. |
