| Text | Near Yorktown in April 1862, the 22nd MA played the 13th NY. Said one soldier of the 22nd, "I never enjoyed a game of ball better in my life..." The army was in front of Yorktown at the time. Army commander General George McClellan, and Corps commanders Heintzleman and Porter, rode by and witnessed the game. |
