Description | The Joliet Signal, March 31, 1868: "A Base Ball Club has been organized by the young men of this city. We presume after this we shall frequently hear of disasters to nasal promontories, etc., which attend that kind of exercise." Joliet Republican, April 11, 1868: "The Eureka Base Ball Club of this city, have elected the following officers for the ensuing year: President, D. B. Dyer; Secretary, A. A. McGovney; Treasurer, A. F. Knox; Directors, D. B. Dyer, Geo. H. Munroe and Jas. Bond." |
