Description | The Daily Milwaukee News, Oct. 23, 1865, reports that the Cream City Base Ball Club of Milwaukee held a meeting last evening and elected H. H. West as president. In many ways it was the successor to the prewar Milwaukee BBC. The Daily Milwaukee News Aug. 31, 1866 mentions the Cream City Base Ball Club of Milwaukee. Milwaukee was nicknamed the Cream City due to the color of the bricks used there. |
