Description

The Memphis Race Track was bordered by Trezevant Avenue and the Memphis and Charleston Railroad. In August 1869 work was begun on the new fairgrounds and race track in roughly the same situation. Today the site is adjacent to the Mid-South Coliseum and the Liberty Bowl.
