Description | The Barre Gazette, Sept. 9, 16, Oct. 7, 1859 reports that the Naquag BBC of Barre challenged, then played, the BBC of Hardiwck, to a game of 100 tallies. MA Rules? The Naquag was a hotel in Barre. In 1858 Barre evidently played "one out, all out, flying ball." They accepted a challenge from a North Brookfield club that used to play this variant game. See same, Oct. 1, 1858. |
