Description	Cravath, "Early Annals of Whitewater 1837-1867" p. 163 says that in 1866 baseball came to Whitewater and that Whitewater beat Elkhorn 74-22 at the Walworth County Fair. Pajot, The Rise of Baseball in Milwaukee, pp. 15-16, says the Cream City club of Milwaukee defeated Whitewater 44-19 in Sept. 1867 for the state championship. Whitwater had 2,731 inhabitants in 1860.
