Description | The Kendall County Record, July 31, 1873 reports that a Yorkville team defeated the Oswego team 15-9. The Oswego Ledger-Sentinel, Aug. 2, 2012, quoting the Oswego correspondent of the Kendall County Record, Aug. 17, 1877: "A week ago Saturday a Yorkville base ball club came up and played our boys, when Yorkville got badly waxed, they making 21 to Oswego's 61." The Aurora Daily Express, Sept. 8, 1883: "The Browns and Oswego Base Ball Clubs will play base ball in this city today. The Browns is the best amateur club in this city." |
