Description

Wild Rovers of Clinton challenge the City Base Ball Club of Knoxville to a match on July 7, 1865, but the Knoxvilleans decline on account of the hot weather, suggesting a postponement until fall. The match would have been held at Powell Station. [I'm isappointed in the boys from Knoxville. It's never too hot for baseball.]
