The home-and-home match, which is to settle a two years contest—should by all precedent be played on the ground of the Gothamites at the Red House, but we understand that the Knickerbockers will ask to have it take place on some neutral field. The Putnam Club, of East Brooklyn, through their president Er. Sam Goodwin, the Atlantic of Brooklyn, and other clubs in the vicinity have already tendered their grounds for the match, should the Gotham Club decide to comply with the wish of the Knickerbockers.
