"In the spring of 1868, the first base ball club was organized at Geneva College. President Crowe not only believed in harmless and healthful exercise for the students, but organized the club and became its first Captain. [Team members listed].

Geneva College was founded in Northwood OH, and is now in Beaver Falls PA. Northwood OH is in western OH and about 55 miles NW of Columbus. Geneva College, founded in 1848, was in Northwood until 1880, when it moved to Beaver Falls.
