<p>Same, May 28th. The Fearless lost to the Old Capitals of Vandalia. Same, July 30th. The Fearless lost to the Casey Haymakers.</p>
<p>The Fearless Club seems to have been the early club that lasted. The Fearless are reported on often 1876-78 in the local Effingham <em>Democrat, </em>e.g.;, Aug. 8, 1877, May 23, 1878.</p>

Same, May 14, 1874: "The Fearless Base Ball Club is again on the warpath."
