Description | A Stonewall Base Ball Club was organized in Jacksonport in April 1869. Frank W. Lynn, editor of the Jacksonport Herald, was club president. On July 3, 1869, they played a game with the Batesville Club at Batesville, losing 32 to 3. Jacksonport AR is now a town of about 230 souls at the confluence of the White and Black Rivers. It is in the NE part of the state, about 90 miles NE of Little Rock. Batesville is about 25 miles to the NW of the town. |
