Description | The (Winnipeg) Manitoba Free Press, June 18, 1875, reports on a base ball match to be held on Dominion Day, between the Pioneer (Jr.) and Clipper (Sr.) clubs. Begg, Ten Years in Winnipeg, p. 87 mentions that in 1873 there were the Pioneer, White Star, Red Stockings and Athletic BBCs. A Star BBC was organized in June 1879. |
