Description	The Washington National Republican, May 28, 1867 reports that 8 DC clubs met to form a picked team to play the Nationals. The attempt failed. Attending were the Jefferson, Potomac, Union, Empire, Gymnastic, Continental, Olympic and Interior Clubs. Morris, Base Ball Pioneers, p. 265, says this club was formed in 1865, but remained obscure till 1867--perhaps because it was a junior club those years.
