Description | The NY Clipper, Dec. 7, 1867, reports that on Nov. 15 the Live Oak Club of Fort Bridger, Utah Territory defeated the Lightfoots of Dakota Territory 43-19. Both teams were of army soldiers. Fort Bridger is in what is now Uinta County, Wyoming, although at the time it was often referred to as being in the Utah Territory. The modern Wyoming did not separate from the Dakota Territory until 1868. |
