Description	The New York Clipper, Nov. 4, 1865 reports that that the touring Athletics of Philadelphia defeated Williamsport 101-8. The Harrisburg Patriot, Oct. 18, 1866 has a long article on the state baseball convention. Among the teams sending delegates was the Williamsport BBC of Williamsport. The West Branch Bulletin (of Williamsport), Aug. 12, Nov. 11, 1865 has the Williamsport BBC playing the P & E BBC. Box score given. Williamsport PA (1860 pop. about 5,500; 1870 pop. about 16,000) is about 80 miles W of Scranton in northern PA.
