Description | The US AFB at Frobisher Bay had a baseball club in 1954. According to soldier Bob Weitzel, the club wasn't very good, as it was too cold to play there. The BBC was basically an excuse to fly to St. John's Newfoundland to play the BBC there--and meet some girls. The AFB at Frobisher Bay evolved into the city of Igaluit, capital of Nunavut. |
