| Description | According to the IBAF website, the Baseball and Softball Federation of Slovenia was founded in 1987. In the 1980s a Slovenian team of Ljubljana played some Italian teams. In 1989 a Slovenian team defeated the Partizans of Belgrade, Serbia. Slovenia joined the Confederation of European Baseball in 1993. The next year its team qualified for the top-tier European championships. The website lists 12 clubs over the years, 6 of which were active as of 2013. |
