Description	"The Morning Freeman" of Saint John, Aug. 11, 1860: "The Saint John Base Ball Club Pic Nic takes place on Tuesday next, at Oak Point." Same, Aug. 21, 1860: "Base Ball Club Pic-Nic. The Pic-Nic of the Base Ball Club came off on Thursday last.... In the game of base ball for Amateurs, Mr. James Lupton won the hat, having made the greatest number of runs--four in two innings." Oak Point is a landmark near Saint John. The St. John and Fredericton 1862 Business Directory, p. 59, lists the St. John BBC, James Reynolds, President The 1869/70 McAlpine's Saint John Directory lists this club as having formed Sept. 20, 1858. Current president, Francis Collins. Ditto 1871/72, with W. F. Bunting as president.
