Description	The Crawfordsville Weekly Journal, Nov. 29, 1866 under the headline "Base Ball" says that last Saturday the hometown Wabash Club defeated the Asbury Club of Greencastle 45-32. Brown's "Indiana Asbury University..." (1913) has a long article on this game, played Nov. 24th in Crawfordsville. The Greencastle Banner, July 12, 1866: "A base ball club has been formed at this place." The Daily Iowa State Register, May 30, 1867, says the Wabash BBC of Crawfordsville beat the Asbury College BBC 39-20 recently. The New York Clipper, May 30, 1868, reports on a game the 9th inst. where the Actives of Indianapolis beat the Asbury College Club 56-22. Greencastle, IN, the apparent home of Asbury College, is about 40 miles SW of Indianapolis.
