Query | Is it possible that this entry reflects the 1796 report by Gutsmuths that English and German forms of base-ball coexisted? Protoball wonders if the 1837 book mistakenly dropped a word following the term "mit" (with). Gutsmuths called English game "ball "mit freystaten." The Protoball entry for Gutsmuths is at 1796.1 Is there a way to locate the German-to-English version of this 1837 book?
