"The honor of starting the first Base-Ball Club at Yale belongs to a member of Sixty-one – the member from Chittenango [NY]. During the first year (Junior) of the existence of the Club, the game was practiced with zeal and success – almost to the exclusion of boating. The subsequent year brought less favor.
