Text | "An act to incorporate the Knickerbocker Base Ball Club, of the city of New York," was submitted to the Assembly of the State of New York. Also applying were the Empire, Yorkville, Eagle, and Black Joke clubs, all of New York City. All were successful, their Acts being passed in January and February, 1860.
