Description	The Burlington Weekly Free Press, April 6, 1860, reports that the Burlington Base Ball Club was just formed, with G. F. Edmunds, president, G. G. Benedict, VP. Their grounds were "just north of the Congregational Church." George F. Edmunds (1828-1919) was at the time speaker of the state house. He was later a US Senator.
