| Description | The Las Vegas Age, Dec. 16, 1905 reports that the Eagles of Las Vegas are to play a picked nine next Sunday on the public square. The "public square" was south of the corner of Lewis and 2nd Sts., about where the Clark County Marriage License Bureau now stands. Las Vegas was incorporated in 1905. For extreme irony, read the editorial in the Las Vegas Age Oct. 27, 1906, titled "No Betting Wanted in Base Ball." How times have changed! |
