Description | The New Orleans Times Picayune, May 2, 1860, has an ad for a meeting of the Crescent City Base Ball Club. The New Orleans Times, Jan. 14, 1867, lists a number of local base ball clubs, including the Robert E. Lee, Creole, Pioneers, Hope, Crescent and Palmetto. The Crescent is also listed as playing the Lone Star in Beadle (1870) pp. 59-60. |
