Biography
There is one "Vaughn Lofton" listed in the US Census records, a black man living in Davidson County, TN in 1900. His given age was 42, which would have made him eight years old in 1866. Perhaps the "Vaughn Loften" of the court records is a relative of his.

Comment
It is not clear whether BBBBBC was an actual club, or merely an informal group of players saddled with a sarcastic moniker in a local newspaper. He was fined $9 for playing base ball on the sabbath (September 16, 1866).
