Description

Shury and Hack, pp. 1-2, says the Saskatchewan Herald, Aug. 11, 1879, reported that a baseball match game was played there  July 23, 1879. He quotes the Prince Albert Times of May 2, 1883 as saying: "the first baseball practice [of the 1883 season] was held last Saturday evening."
