Description	Little Rock Daily Republican, August 8, 1873, reported that “last Saturday” a boy in Helena was killed in a “game of baseball.” The Little Rock Daily Arkansas Gazette, August 12, 1875, reported that there was “not a base-ball club in Helena,” but same July 2, 1876 reported “The people of Helena are growing wild and enthusiastic upon the subject of base ball.” Helena AR is in the northeast part of AR, about 60 miles SW of Memphis TN.
