Description	Van Buren had a base ball club in 1868, that was scheduled to play in a base ball tournament at the State Fair. See Little Rock Morning Republican, September 9, 1868. This town had a Ku Klux Klub in 1869. [Arkansas Baseball Encyclopedia, website at www.arkbaseball.com] Van Buren AR is about 150 miles NW of Little Rock in the NW corner of the state. It is about 5 miles NE of Ft. Smith.
