Description | The Yukon Daily Morning Sun, July 2, 1902, a Dawson newspaper, under the headline "Dominion Day Celebration at Grand Forks," reports "A base ball game between the Commercials of Dawson and the Bonanzas, was won by the latter by a score of 21 to 12. The boys played on the grounds at the top of Gold Hill." Grand Forks is a ghost town today, but at the time it was a center of the gold rush. It was located by "Bonanza Creek". |
