Comment | This game is the earliest known international game of modern base ball (Ontario was still a British province until Canada formed in 1867.) Bill Humber explains that the cited "Excursion" was a tightrope exhibition over the Niagara Gorge performed by a "Signor Farini" actually a man from Ontario.
