Nick Name American
Earliest Known Date 1874
Location Vienna, Austria
Nine Class Senior
Description

The Neues Wiener Tagblatt, April 4 and 7, 1874, ran an ad as follows: "American Base-ball Club. A few members wanted to join an American Base-ball Club. Apply to Ch. Stoffenson, 9 Res. Harmoniegasse Kr. 6 from 6 to 9 o'clock in the evening."

It is unclear whether this club actually formed. The ad being in English, it suggests the ad sought Americans living in Vienna.
