The New Orleans Times-Picayune, June 20, 1878, says “seven base ball clubs have been organized in Pointe Coupee Parish. In other respects the parish is doing well.” One of these was the Waterloo club of Pointe Coupee, which lost to St. Francisville 31-17 on June 23, 1878 at Bayou Sara. See Feliciana Sentinel, June 29, 1878.

Poinnte Coupee LA (pop. about 23,000) is about 35 miles W of Baton Rouge.
