Same, Sept. 4, 1867 says yesterday the Marines beat the Mechanics 103-50, in a game umpired by Charles H. Little of the Hoosier BBC. Gives a box score.  These 2 teams also local.

1874 newspapers detail the Star BBC of this city.

Madison, IN was founded in 1811. It's 1870 population was 10,709.

Same Aug. 19, 1868 says on the 112th at the Hoosier's grounds, the Pioneers beat the Broadway 55-43. Gives box score. Scored by Will Cheatham of the Independent BBC.
