Description | The Daytona Gazette News, July 6, 1901 reports that in a game on the 4th, Sanford beat Daytona 11-8 at DeLand. Same, July 20, 1901, reports that a benefit will be held for the Daytona Base Ball Club. Daytona (now Daytona Beach) was incorporated in 1876. It had 991 residents in 1880 and 1,690 residents in 1900. |
