Biography
The brother of noted Illinois educator Ella Flagg Young, Charles T. Flagg was a private in the 19th Illinois infantry and fought at the battles of Stones River and Chickamauga. Flagg passed through Nashville several times during 1862-1863.
Flagg came to Nashville after the war and worked as a coppersmith and plumber, as part of the Flagg and Smith plumbing company (1866-1867). He was apparently killed in a railroad accident in 1868.
