The Hinds County Gazette, Oct. 5, 1881 reports that the Military BBC of Raymond has challenged the Stonewalls of Lebanon to a match game, with a $50 prize. 

Same March 2, 1866 reports that the town of Raymond has banned "ball playing" on Sunday.
