Description | A party of Americans 1865-67 tried to lay a telegraph line in the Wade and Anadyr River region of Siberia. According to one member's journal, during the last winter they amused themselves by playing baseball on the iced-over Wade River. Camp was near the mouth of the Anadyr. This appears to be approximately the modern city of Anadyr. |
