Description	The Denver Rocky Mountain News, May 7, 1869, prints an item from Cheyenne, Wyoming Territory, saying the Franklin BBC of Fort Russell [near Cheyenne] played the Wyoming BBC of Cheyenne May 6th at Cheyenne. The Cheyenne Leader, Sept. 6, 1869, reports on a Sept. 4th game at Fort Russell between Company H, 9th Infantry, and the Wyomings of Cheyenne, won by Cheyenne 38 to 31. Same April 29, 1869: "A practice game of ball will be played, to the rear of the post office, tomorrow (Friday) at two p.m." All are invited. Obviously connected to the May 6h game. Cheyenne was founded in 1867, and was/is the state capital. It had 1,450 residents in 1870.
