The Harvard Independent, July 17, 1867: "... the Harvard Base Ball Club played two games since our last [issue], one with the Marengo Star Base Ball Club, and one with the Woodstock Base Ball Club--and were defeated at each game. Our club was organized two weeks ago last Monday..." with L. Mason, VP and B. T. Watrous, Secretary.
The Woodstock Sentinel, July 11, 1867 reports that the Star of Marengo and to play the Harvard BBC at Harvard.
The Spalding Scrapbook, NYPL, has an 1869 clipping saying that the Forest City BBC of Rockford, IL beat Harvard, IL on May 25, 1869 at Harvard 110 to 11.
