Description	The Effingham Democrat, July 31, 1873: "Base Ball. At Vandalia. On Friday last, as was announced last week, the Fearless B.B.C. took up their line of march for Vandalia, where they arrived in due season, and met at the train by the Old Capitol B.B.C. ..." Same, May 14, 1874: "The Fearless Base Ball Club is again on the warpath." Same, May 28th. The Fearless lost to the Old Capitals of Vandalia. Same, July 30th. The Fearless lost to the Casey Haymakers. The Fearless Club seems to have been the early club that lasted. The Fearless are reported on often 1876-78 in the local Effingham Democrat, e.g.;, Aug. 8, 1877, May 23, 1878.
