Description

The Jackson (MI) Citizen Patriot May 28, 1902 reprints a letter from a soldier dated March 27th, from "Baac, Marnduque, Philippines" saying that the soldiers are indulging in "baseball, sack races, and all kinds of sports."

American soldiers brought their game with them when they landed in the Philippines during and after the Spanish-American War.
