Text | [Ecford vs. Mutual 6/3/1867] In the ninth the Eckfords made 4 and the Mutuals 5, and so the game was a tie. Everybody expected to see the game played to a finish, as the rules expressly state that where there is a tie on the ninth innings a tenth or eleventh shall be played to break the tie. Bot both the captains agreed to a draw. |
