Description

The Buffalo Express, March 28, 1909, and the Jonesboro (AR) Daily News, March 25, 1909, repeat the same story, citing a Wadsworth Haynes article in the World Mirror: "Two years ago the writer was in Buenos Ayres, Argentina, during the Christmas holidays. There is a regular base ball team, composed of American residents of the Argentina capital, and the were visited for a series of six games by a team from Sao Paolo, Brazil."

There are earlier articles headlining Argentina "baseball" that are actually articles on pelota, a  game played with a ball.
